Digex, Inc. , the Laurel, Md.-based managed hosting provider, today announced that Digex has expanded its offerings by adding Akamai's EdgeSuite solution, an integrated suite of services for the seamless distribution of dynamic content.
Digex says it is offering the Akamai EdgeSuite service to its enterprise clients as an integrated function aimed at extending the performance of content delivery and dynamic content across an entire Web site.
The service operates by utilizing intelligent routing technology that connects end-user requests to the most optimal server within Akamai's distributed computing platform.
Digex says its Application Optimization Center (AOC) will offer full support for Akamai clients providing pre- and post-production application enhancement and deployment services. Other AOC services include testing, migrations, profiling and code review.
