| Electronic business integrator eFORCE Inc. Thursday joined Sun Microsystems
Inc.'s iForce e-integrator program.
The deal, for which financial terms were not made public, calls for FORCE's
to blend Sun's Java technology expertise with its own design and
integration of Java architectures for its e-business clients.
The alliance will combine eFORCE's global centers and eBusiness Rapid
Implementation and Deployment for Global Enterprises, or eBRIDGE,
methodology with Sun infrastructure technology. EFORCE will then have the
ability to support a full service e-business
to provide both companies customers with technology demonstrations,
benchmarking and prototyping.

In particular, eFORCE's High Performance eBusiness Architecture service, a
component of its eBRIDGE implementation methodology, will offer customers
e-business architectures that support rapid development and seamless
integration to new and legacy systems.
As part of the Sun alliance, the HPA service offering will deliver eBusiness
solutions that meet customers' quality of service
requirements through Oracle database architecture, backend integration, and
application lifecycle management.
"Combined with Sun's industry leading infrastructure solutions, customers
will now be able to very quickly build new web applications and fully
integrated back-end systems," said Tom Gallivan, director, West Partner
Region for Sun Microsystems.
To further extend the reach of its iForce initiative, which targets
corporate clients, Sun has opened iForce Ready Centers as a core component.
Sun-owned "hub" centers are located in Menlo Park, CA, Paris and Tokyo. Sun
experts, customers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and implementation
partners can come together in a lab environment, and help customers create
proofs-of-concept for their businesses.

eFORCE, whose clients include Bank of America, Charles Schwab, Intel and
Nortel Networks, is the most recent partner to help Sun open more than 40
such centers around the world.
