OpenLink Software Inc. Thursday
announced the
forthcoming release of OpenLink Virtuoso, which allows information from a
variety of databases to be viewed and updated over corporate intranets or
the Internet.
The system supports a variety of database formats and is designed to
interface with SQL servers from Microsoft Corp. and Sybase Inc. It is also
operating system-independent and has support for Windows 95, 98 and NT,
Linux and all variations of UNIX. Support for the Macintosh, OS400 and 390
and VMS mainframes is planned.
