BOOMASoft this week announced the beta release of BOOMA WebForms, a tool the company is billing as a simple, cost-effective solution to help developers create and manage forms on their Web sites.
Using BOOMA WebForms, developers can create Web-based forms in minutes using drag-and-drop technology, without any knowledge of CGI scripting, Java coding or database programming. As a form is created, a database is automatically generated on the back end to store the users's form data. Java applets are used to process the form, eliminating the need for server applications.
BOOMA WebForms also includes an auto responder that enables users to create automatic responses which will be sent immediately to those who submit forms.
The tool is available for Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT, with Macintosh support coming early next year.
