Brownstoner | Forum: parking in brooklyn heights:: Dec 6, 2008 where is everyone parking in brooklyn heights, there seems to be absolutely zero free parking spaces- heck it seems to be easier to park in http://www.brownstoner.com/forum/archives/2008/12/parking_in_broo.phpHOME | There's a show happening in Fort Greene, Brooklyn I'd like to attend. Are there some places to park in that area or should I just take a train? Fort Greene is an area you'd get your car stolen and stripped.
Street parking can be a nightmare at times so if you are not using Central Parking Systemsâ Ž (or something similar) then take public transport.
EDIT:
Here is proof of that cars can get stolen, vandalise or stripped.

You may get lucky and park without incident as the person below who commented but don't say I didn't warn you.
there's parking in BK?
Take the train.
Parking is hit or miss around there, and is really very hard in parts of the neighborhood - especially if anything special is going on!
EDIT: To the person who said your car will be stolen or stripped - I have parked all over Fort Greene. In fact, I used to work right next to the Fort Greene Projects, and I parked there every day.
Nothing ever, ever, ever happened to my car!
My friend, my advice, take the train. Its cheaper and less of a hassle.
Good luck
Parking in Brooklyn can be brutal unless you luck out on a parking space; parking lots are expensive.
Take the train.
