If anyone know about this rsv (synagis) shot please inform me?
i would take my baby to the doctor in that event--or at least call. my son had a reaction to the DTaP vaccine about a week after getting the actual shot and with certain shots its possible to have a reaction as late as 14 days after getting the shot. with a fever that high the baby should be taken to the doctor regardless of whether they got a shot recently or not. they should have given you a handout on what to expect in the days following the shot and when to call the doctor.
usually its "typical" for babies to be a bit fussy with a low grade (100.4) temperature for about 2-3 days after the shot.
i'm sorry, my son never got that vaccine, so i'm not sure what the expected reactions of that particular shot are.
Is the baby still running a fever now? If not then he/she is fine. If he is then you need to take him to the ER, could be a reaction from the shot or could be something else that he has caught that has nothing to do with the shot at all.
Well, it isn't "normal", but is possible. Keep an eye on him, if his temp goes up call the nurse on call, and report his reaction to VAERS. any doctor who tells you that a high fever after a shot is "normal" is lying to you.
