if you discard winged dragon of ra from hand without playin it then send it to grave then special summoning it in the field with its atk and def
When you special summon it, it's attack's going to be 0...
But it got a special effect..
Which allows you to pay your life points until your life point is 1..
And add it to Ra's attack points..
So...
For example,, You got 8000 life points and you special summoned, Ra...
Then, you pay 7999 points to increase Ra's atk points.. to 7999!!

It will go back to the graveyard on the end phase of the turn you special summoned it....
So, you gotta think well...
Ra will have 0 attack wen u special summon it...
and in the show
any god card summoned to the field from the grave is immediatley destroyed the moment u end ur turn...
but Ra's other abilitys can still be activated
he can attack on the first turn
he can give u lifepoints equal to the attack he has
also
u can offer monsters already on ur field to give Ra some attack
also his other abilty to pay 1000 of ur lifepoints to destroy one of ur opponents monsters
but ya
its unfortenate the Gods abiltys are not on the card...
an its to bad they are banned from official duels...
but ya
u can special summon Ra with Monster Reborn
Call of the Haunted
Premature Burial
some say u can summon it with cards like
Grave of Enkindling
Birthright
Soul Ressurection
but no one really has tried it
i dont think Birth or Soul would work
cuz techinically they have effects

The attack would be zero.but even if you do special summon him from the graveyard you can still activate his other special ability. you can pay some of your life points and it's attack would be equal to the life points you payed.good luck with Ra. :)
