I have been associated with the development of a new website:
www.thecoffeeguide.org
It is only 90% complete. It will be announced to a wider audience in
late April, 2005 - allowing us to complete and correct it.
The target group is anyone in the coffee sector in coffee producing
countries: growers, co-operatives, traders, processors, exporters,
transportation, finance, authorities, customs, associations,
inspectors......
The site is deliberately made simple. No moving parts, no advertising,
only few pictures, simple structure etc. Reason is that many in the
target audience have modest facilities and sometimes limited
experience in website navigation.
There is a wrong explanation re Q&A numbers somewhere. And there are
bits and pieces still in English language in the versions in French and
Spanish. And other small corrections to be made in coming weeks.
Please let me have your comments on lay-out, structure,
user-friendliness etc. and not least possible suggestions for
improvements. It looks great so far. However, when one accesses using Firefox short
explanations for every link on the front page does not appear, unlike
for IE users. Also, the menu on the left side of the further pages
gets confusing. One needs to keep going back and forth to check out
all of the pages, etc. You may also reconsider using striped
background for the top menu, since those white stripes somewhat
blending with the color of the text and it makes it harder to read. I
hope this helps. Carly Simon Official Website - Ask Carly:: Hugs from me and thanks for coming to this delightful website. Love, Carly. Movie about a Torch singer. Dear aceresearcher,
Price is up - with one additional question:
How do potential users find OUR website when they sit in Indonesia,
Tanzania, Bolivia and 50 other developing countries and click
something combined with the word "coffee" or "caf " on some search
engine ?
We have an important presentation "live" in early May and thereby have
the rest of April to correct small errors and missings and
translations etc. which we are aware of - and to take into account
possible suggestions from outsiders like yourself. Greetings, alsinger!
Your project is really an interesting one! However, an in-depth
website review that does a really good job at making recommendations
for you will require a considerable amount of time and effort. If you
are interested in an in-depth review, you may want to consider raising
the fee which you are offering.
Regards,
aceresearcher
