This is a sad case to have to look at. But it is a hard corp statistic.
Barring the fact he is not my choice for President, I really don't want
to win by racial default.
What you think America.
No, actually the "Bradley effect" (you could look it up) is about 5%.
That's exactly what is going to happen and it is stupid to vote based on someone's color. I would love to see our first black president but I would rather it be someone with much more experience!
This is for BumB's comment...Your wrong I am a Black Women and I WILL NOT vote for Obama he is inexperienced and is using his race to try to win this election. So don't give me that "lets all stick together" your on your own my brother.
Black Caucus members warn Obama can't do everything - Politics AP :: Nov 18, 2008 Members of the Congressional Black Caucus are still giddy that Barack Obama is about to become president. They recall crying, jumping for http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/AP/story/777257.htmlHOME | Pew addresses this and the number is only 9%
Your Country is falling to pieces, if people are voting on the racial basis the effects of their bad judgment will be evident in the short term.
Those numbers are just guesses. But Obama Can't Repeal Economic Law - Mises Economics Blog:: Nov 7, 2008 Unicorn67: after reading this article and reflecting on the statement about the crowds chanting Obama's name, o [But Obama Can't Repeal http://blog.mises.org/archives/008911.aspHOME |
If Obama does lose somehow - there will be much examination as to the "racist" factor.
I hope that people have moved beyond race - but more than likely they have not.
Considering that 90% of the black population will vote for him based on skin color alone - the numbers even themselves out.
(BTW - 14% is ridiculously high.)
I think there is more than 14% of the people smart enough not to vote for him racist or not. He is the racist.
The Republicans have a term for racists. They call them the Republican base. They have voted solid Republican nationally ever since the civil rights amendment in the 60s. Maybe locally there is some personality based voting but everybody that was racist against blacks was never going to Republican.
Also, Blacks cannot help Obama. They have always voted 92 to 95% Democrat. Bumping that up 1 or 2 % when they are such a small part of the population is still just insignificant. Yet they only live in large numbers in the Southeastern States that are double digit red states
I dont believe that stastistic. If this country was truly that racist, obama would not have gotton this far. On the contrary, the obama campaign has injected more racism and led people to believe no matter what they say, they will be viewed as racist. If Obama loses, it will have everything to do with obamas socialism and poor record. After 8 yrs. as a state senator in ILL, they have the highest tax rate in the country, more murders and lives lost than in the Iraq war in 6 mo. and the most corrupt state in the country. If the US were to be measured by his success as a state senator, that is why he would lose. He does have a record, its one of high taxes, low morals, and affiliations that are not desirable or something to brag about.
I think that number is ridiculously high.
I think when people close that curtain - The Bradley Effect WILL take over.
I just wish that a person of color who is honest, moral, aboveboard and not in the pocket of the most corrupt Machine in the Country would have been the first "non-Caucasian" to have reached this point.
THAT's a person I would have no problem voting for. THIS GUY is a suit.
When he loses - it will set back race relations in this Country by at least 50 years.
If he wins - it will set our Country back at least 50 years.
Wrong. The Bradly effect, if any, would be around 4%.
