Hi,
I'm trying to assist a customer who has a huge amount of personal/medical data. We're in the process of scanning medical printouts which consist of images and textual data and archiving on a Jump Drive, so that the customer can have her entire medical history easily at hand.
I'm new to the MS Imaging solution, but here's what's come up so far:
- The OCR export to Word isn't flawless, so we'd like to scan and save as .jpg files to conserve space. The Tiff compression schemes just don't seem to work in all Tiff readers
- We would use the option to save in the *.mdi format, but if I understand correctly, this isn't a widely supported image file format.
I'd like to use the Office solution if possiblle.
Any suggestions?
Omar
