im a 14 year old boy and im 5'5. am i tall, short, or average? the reason i ask is because i have 7 brothers and im the youngest, and we're all 5'5, even though I'm younger, but my7th oldest brother who is 16 is only 5'4, and the doctor says he is fully grown. Is he short or are all my brothers tall? He was always a bit shorter and fatter than all of us, kinda looks like super mario hahaha. we're irish-american if that affects anything, i know some races are shorter/taller than others.

  • Your height really depends on genetics. You could be anywhere between 5'5" and 6'. 5'5" isn't short for a 14-year-old. You still have some time to grow. I don't think being short in stature is a bad thing. My dad is only 5'5" and my mom is 5'2". I am 4'11", my younger brother is 5'8" and my younger sister is 5'1". I would say you're average height for a 14-year-old. Give it some time. You never know - perhaps you'll be taller than all 7 of your older brothers! :)

  • Yeah he is a little short but not too bad. I think like 5'6'' is average for boy maybe a little higher. But he may not be done growing.

  • I think that its pretty average for you given your age and your parents heights. but there is always hope.

Sons are always taller than their mothers.

  • Average, you are still growing

  • your perfectly average!
    great height!!!

  • 5'5 for a guy is a lil short, but since your only 14, its pretty normal for your age. Sometimes the oldest is either shorter or taller than everyone else, and same goes for youngest. At least so it seems. I'm 14 to, and I have three older sisters. I'm only 5'0 right now and my three sisters are 5'0, 5'1, 5'1. It depends on how tall your parents are to though. Like my Mom is 4'11 and my Dad is 5'11, so we're all short like my Mom. Anyway race doesn't really have much to do with height.

  • it totally depends on your genetics, if your parents or grandparents are short, you'll stay short!
i know a few 14 year olds who are 6'2"
my own brother is 5'8" at 24, so it totally depends on your genetics, there's nothing you can do about it!
