just a quick question. is there a 5 item limitation inside my program folder??
under scan inside my program folder there is shortcuts, c drive, d drive, e drive, f drive and dvd. i enabled g drive and added the bookmark in the xml but it does not show up?

i'm assuming you mean on the left side.
that is upto the skinners.
you can remove the tag in xboxmediacenter.xml to get 1 more on the left. but that will remove the shortcuts button. which a lot of people do anyhow.
why not properly setup your bookmarks? such as:
games
f:\games
apps
e:\apps
and possibly another for emulators?
