Does anyone out there know how to open a link to a file when an outlook reminder for a meeting pops up. I have looked at various things (options) and can't find the correct combination of code to do what I want. Basically this is what I have going on. I have setup an outlook meeting for just a half-hour and set the time to free. It is just a reminder for me to enter my hours into a database. The problem is sometimes I hit the dismiss on the reminder and forget to enter the hours into the external database. If I could find a way to have the vb code open the external database when the reminder pops-up. Then eventually when I have to close the database it will que me to enter the hours.
Any and all help on this subject will be much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
If you're working on adding VB to outlook, check out this site:
http://www.outlookcode.com/ Outlook Reminders:: May 29, 2008 In earlier versions, each reminder pops up its own message. double-click any item in the Outlook 2002 Reminders window to open it. http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/27433/outlook-reminders.htmlHOME |
If meant you just wanted some settings, what version of outlook are you using and are you using a local pst on is your calendar on an exchange server?
Yes basically I just want the vb code to do this action for a particular calendar event. We are running outlook 2000 Sp-3 if that helps you guide me in the right direction.
