Please inform me of a safe Over The Counter eye drop solution to get
the red out of my eyes. I wear contacts.
Hi Go9ers!
Here is a list of a few O-T-C eye drops that will be safe for use with
your contact lenses.
They are available at your local Walgreens or you can order them
on-line.

Opcon-A Eye Drops combine an antihistamine with a redness reliever
for the temporary relief of itchy, red eyes. It is recommended to
remove your contact lens before applying the drops.

All Clear redness reliever/lubricant eye drops contain a dual action
formula that both relieves redness and soothes and protects with a
lubricant. The fast acting formula temporarily relieves redness while
a lubricant provides soothing relief from irritation. It is
recommended to remove your contact lens before applying the drops.

All Clear AR lubricant eye drops/redness reliever contain a dual
action formula, which has the maximum level of redness reliever to
provide relief from irritation due to pollen, ragweed, and dust. Also
contains a lubricant to provide soothing relief from dryness and
irritation. It is recommended to remove your contact lens before
applying the drops.

If your eyes are red and you wear contacts, I recommend a visit to
your ophthalmologist to treat the cause of the redness
(conjunctivitis). According to Dr. Granet, most causes of red eye are
either allergic, viral, or bacterial.

Heres some useful information from Google Groups.
In general eyedrops shouldn't be used with contact lenses because the
lens can absorb the eye drop and result in a concentrated buildup of
the solution.
