I installed Outpost 1.0.1817.1645 from a german computer periodical. Now the ELSA-CAPI don't find an appliance, so I can't use the fax-option on my ISDN-Router. Any hints ?

What is the result?
No change.
Ewald, what do you mean under 'ELSA-CAPI don't find an appliance'?
Do you see any error message?
Do you run Outpost in Rule Wizard mode?
Check Options->Applications. Do you see any programs in Blocked list?

When you get 'CAPI don't find any appliances.' then check "Blocked" folder in 'My Internet' list in Outpost window.
Is there something?
Yes, and I deleted it, but no change.
Also try to delete SYSTEM from 'Blocked applications'. The start your CAPI, does Rule Wizard display a dialogue?
It starts and I allowe all, but no change.
Only if I deactivate the firewall, the CAPI find the appliance. personal.oreto.inf-cr.uclm .es:: + :-) ƒ‰Ž˜ ¤¤¾Ç ÆÙÃÑÁÖÏÕ Íéêïëïýëç Ôå÷íïëïãßá عرØية ñåêñ Áèçíåñ PowerSecretary for Macintosh demo 1997 n. 54 legge regionale Toscana http://personal.oreto.inf-cr.uclm.es/user/jmata/Experimento/Queries/metaspy-3.5-days.txtHOME | SVCHost is in the trusted applications area, but I can't use the capiSo, again what do you see in the Blocked folder? Ewald, please go to Options->System->Global rules. Unmark 'Deny Unknown Protocols'. Try ELSA CAPI.
If it is blocked, then use this instruction (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=980) to install Debug plug-in.
Send us logs as soon as ELSA CAPI is blocked.
In your bug report please point out the URL to this thread as well.
Thanks in advance.
I couldn't find much information about Essa Capi in English, so it's hard for me to help. My first thought is that you need to know what protocols and ports are being used to allow them. Do you get a popup in the rules wizard mode fro your fax?
Are you using the free or pro version of Outpost? Have you tried getting help from Elsa yet? Sometimes the provider is willing to help and know what needs to be done with firewalls.
Dmut will probably see this soon and he can help you.

UPDSVC.EXE,
AUPDRUN.EXE,
NTVDM.EXE,
JAVAW.EXE
of whom I safe could be saying, whither program it is. May be, that there is my problem, but where ? Hi Ewald. When you say no change, does that mean you still see SVCHost in the blocked column, even though you put it in the trusted applications area?
Oh sorry : SVCHost is in the trusted applications area, but I can't use the capi.

If that is the case, please shut down Outpost and restart it.

Elsa is bankruptcy, one of the companies, which supports the lancom office 1000-Router, have an english homepage :

This was also my first thought ;-)

No.

The free version.
Have you tried getting help from Elsa yet? Sometimes the provider is willing to help and know what needs to be done with firewalls.
I found the internet-adress above just today in a news-item from www.heise.de and I will ask this company in the next days.
Strange this problem. Outpost has got nothing to do with CAPI, at least that's what I've found when I was on ISDN (I may be mistaken, I'm not an expert in this field).
Perhaps you can shutdown OP and try if Elsa can find the modem then. I would suggest checking the hardware ('first check cables').
Are you using RVS-COM? If so, does Commcenter show the ISDN interfaces (both analog and digital)?

So, again what do you see in the Blocked folder? In Active Content folder?
There is only a programm named ipe30.exe, which belongs to Photo Express.
Please answer the following questions when you get the problem:
1) do see any entries in Blocked (under My Internet)
2) turn Disable mode on. Do you still get problem?
3) put your mouse cursor on Outpost icon in the right down corner of your screen. Do you see IP address? Is it correct?
