As I understood, problem takes place only on WinME. It should be said that even Microsoft staff say that WinME is the most buggy OS...
If you want to continue using WinME with Outpost, then answer the following questions:
1) "Applications are not blocked they will simple make no connection to the internet" - when you try to run any application and it can't make a coonection to the Internet, then do you see any entry in any Outpost folder?
2) In what modes (Rule Wizard, Allow All etc) do you have this problem? Outpost Security Suite Pro 2009 – PC software review:: Jul 31, 2008 In the past the Outpost suite has been criticised for not being very The latter of these is the default mode and prompts you for actions http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/reviews/review.phtml/3340/4364/outpost-security-suite-pro-2008.phtmlHOME | 9Down.COM - Download Agnitum Outpost Security Suite PRO 2007 :: 7 posts - Last post: Jul 28, 2007Security center did not detect the "Disable mode" policy * Windows Installer could not start under Windows 2000 with Outpost Security Suite http://www.9down.com/Agnitum-Outpost-Security-Suite-PRO-2007-Build-1252-619-324--13671/HOME |
So, in rules wizard mode, you allow Ie, but ut still will not surf? I s that what you are saying?
What is in the blocked log? What is in the blocked applications disk?
Whay version Outpost? Are you on a lan?
Hi Mark,
For now, since OP is working on your XP system without problems, copy your configuration.cfg file in the OutPost Firewall folder to a floppy disk and copy it over the one in the ME system ( you could rename the current one first if you want.)
If it works you just had some settings to change.

when I select the policy "WIZARD" I cannot access the net.
If I return to "Allow most mode" my IE can access the net.
I tryed to reinstall OP and to clean the registry before reinstall it, but nothing has change
Have I to change my WINME ? I'm trying to test OP under WIN98 and WIN2000.
Thanks for your help.
Hello daffy Welcome to the forums.
What Version of OutPost are you using.
Hello Mark. There is no reason you cannot use WinME. I'll bet if you would have reinstalled ME instead of 98SE, Outpost would have worked just as well.
If you do install ME again and cannot get Outpost to work , please give us a chance to help figure out what is wrong.

Hello GOONMAN, I'm very sorry for the delay in my reply, but I was abroad.
I have solved my problem.
I had an hidden firewall already installed on my (not new) PC. Unfortunately I didn't know about that, because I didn't do the initial software installation on it.
Now it's all right and OUTPOST works very well.:D
Glad to hear it :)
Thanks for getting back.

Goodmorning,
Thanks for the help but no one has understand the problem it can happen. Applications are not blocked they will simple make no connection to the internet, al mine applications are in partially allowed status because no programm today except outpost can you trust. So copy thexp.cfg file makes crash outpost. I have removed ME and put 98 se on this machine no any problems with the same configuration as on Me. So i have self the problem fixed butt not happy it gives me the time to checkout any other options.
