Hi Devs.
Gave Outpost V2 a whirl yesterday. Very impressive feature set. Enough for me to un-install Norton Internet Security 2002 and put Outpost v2 on.
Unfortunatly, My XP box craps out with a BSOF with an IRQ_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO to something very similar. This seemed to come up whenever any amount of traffic of going through outpost, or when Outpost was popping up a Wizard dialogue. It got pretty bad at one stage when my machine would BSOD upon logging on.
I've un-installed an all is back to normal. Excellent software but I'll have another look in a few months when things have stabalised. Now where is that NIS2002 CD?
Come back NIS.. all is forgiven.... Oh... don't say that.. I didn't mean it you know.... awww.. don't be like that.. come here.....
Keep at it Devs.
Regards.
McNaz.
A couple of things to check here McNaz - if you have not given up completely. Did you completely uninstall NIS before installing Outpost? (check the Extended Application or Firewall Uninstall/Install Instructions (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7186) for more info on this). Did you disable XP's own firewall? Do you have any other software that could be working at network driver level (e.g. protocol/network analysers)?
