I am seriously considering buying a DMC-FZ7, but need to talk to someone who has one and is familiar with it.
My concern is sharpness. I've been using a Nikon cool-pix990 for some years now, but recently compared the image sharpness with some of my old film shots and was horrified.

Ive made my living taking and making pics. Ive recently given this camera to my son, I am used to seeing digital pics. made with high end cameras, I was trully astounded when my son showed me the results from this camera, both in terms of sharpness and color and the way it analized available light(and corrected color) trully amazing for the price.
