South pointe park has 215metered parking slots and in addition many unmetered slots used by Smith & Wollensky, a restaurant within South pointe park. The city of Miami beach and the developers of the "Continuum", a condo in final stages of construction fronting South pointe park, have both suggested that some of the parking slots, both metered and unmetered would be eliminated and converted to more park land. A recently issued(?) site plan may describe these changes and permits for construction may indicate time frame for this conversion. The area of particular interest is adjacent to the "Continuum" and Smith & Wollensky. The government cut is a alleyway of water connecting Biscayne Bay and Atlantic. O
