I don't want to be blunt but does any other new moms think that their "area" doesn't look the same after having their baby. My daughter is 10 months old and I feel like it's not the same my husband says it's the same. Do you think that I am just being subconscious?

  • Maybe it's just me, but I got really loose from my vaginal delivery! Time to do my kegels!!

Re: the way it LOOKS: I'm not sure if I've noticed any changes..

  • Yeah I looked in the mirror down there last week and was horrified it looked like everything had moved and grown lol. I only gave birth 4 weeks ago though so I am hoping it all gets back to normal.

  • I think there never the same but there not like deformed or anything. Its not gonna be the same as before the birth but its ok. It is still functional lol

  • Hon-If your husband is not complaining about it, then don't worry about it. To give the gift of life changes your body, and in the end it is worth it.

    Good Luck!!

  • It might be but my doctor told me it can take over a year to heal so you are kind of still in that process possibly! Honestly...I was expecting mine to be destroyed but it looks exact same ( its not as erm...tight but not much of a difference ) after 4 months...Keep in mind I didnt tear or cut! My friend had a baby and told me she is completely destroyed down there...She was cut. This is only afre about 5 months so it can really range in all people. I would say most liekly you are fine but it's always in your head cause you know you pushed your baby out of it so you wonder and perhaps convince yourself it is worse...I do this and my hubby says it looks the same and pretty much feels the same

    - one thing too I dont know why everyone says "i was tighter after my delivery" etc...I sure am not! Despite what hubby says I can totally feel a difference..not a HUGE one but its there!!

  • I agree with you, my baby girl just turned 9 months and my area doesn't seem the same anymore... When i looked at it, it looked weird, but then again i don't really remember what it looked like before... my husband says that sex feels different, but not in a bad way, so i don't know, but i think it has changed and will never go back to the way it was before.

  • Mine don't feel the same, but my husband thinks it's right back to normal!! I guess it's just because the feeling of it...It's still sore down there for me ne ways...

  • It should be about the same right now. I think mine is and I have a 9 month old. If your husband is cool with it then it's no big. You can do some kegal exercises to get it back to normal too. Good luck.
