At this point it just hangs until IIS has enough of it and kills it. Any PHP will do this, even phpinfo();
The extension dir is correct in php.ini, its a full path and already loading gd2, so it's not going to be that.
I'm not doing an over-the-top-of-php4 install. Its a fresh directory and a fresh ini file from the -recommended one included with the zip file. I'm loading the ISAPI module, and, if it matters, the version of MySQL is 4.0.18nt.
I've tried using php 5.0.5 which I use on my personal machine for testing vB hacks before I destroy my entire forum installation (:D) with no luck. Aye, turns out I can't spell and had mistyped the php path in the Windows PATH environmental variable.
Do you have libmysql handy? I think you need that in your path somewhere.
