There's no default.xbe file which it asks for in the manual. Also, it says to edit the XML file to run from the APPS folder but it doesn't say what I need to edit.
Please help, I've read all the manuels and tutorials all over the web, along with the official ones.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I have all the files in the APPS folder. I made sure it was all in one folder (of course the sub directories included), and it won't show up under APPS after restarting.
"help me! i can't read!"
what exactly are you doing on the internet?

Chaos447,
I'm sorry you've received such a hostile reception on what is supposed to be a support forum.
Complied versions (which is what you need) are regularly posted on the usenet. If you're familiar with binary newsgroups, search alt.binaries.games.xbox
There are also many torrents you can download with any bittorrent program program such as utorrent http://www.utorrent.com/ How to softmod your Xbox and install XBMC for free - Page 33 :: 11 posts - Last post: Jun 12, 2008It is not XBMC which is defaulting but your router / server via DHCP. . know it was a faulty hard drive that was causing this problem http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055256404&page=33HOME |
or azureus http://azureus.sourceforge.net/
or bitcomet http://www.afterdawn.com/software/p2p_software/p2p_applications/bitcomet.cfm.
MOD EDIT: Posting links to XDK compiled software is not allowed, see the forum rules in the FAQ (http://forum.xboxmediacenter.com/faq.php). Warning given!

[ubuntu] Xinerama error when starting XBMC - Ubuntu Forums:: 4 posts - Last post: Sep 19, 2008So far I tried using a more up to date video driver by installing through envy, and I've had the same problem. Someone over at xbmc.org http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=881205HOME | racketboy.com • View topic - Installing XBMC and a HDD:: 6 posts - Last post: Sep 29, 2008So my next course of action should be to make XBMC the default, or install the HDD first? 1. Fully read the FAQ, both the questions and the answers, (and follow all the guidelines)!
2. Do your best to search and read the online-wiki-manual, (it can help in most situations)!
3. Search all forums from the beginning!
4. Re-read and follow the FAQ before reporting any bugs!, provide all details/information!
5. Respect that only one issue/subject per thread is allowed! Again, search for existing first!
6. Don't report more than one bug or one request per topic! Again, search for existing first!
7. Don't discuss (or link to any) pirated, shared movies, music, pictures, retail software, etc!
8. Don't ask for or link to any illegal (or 'gray') copies of ed materials in any form!
9. Don't ask how to get or copy/backup games, videos, music, (even if you own the original)!
10. Don't ask for or link to Xbox binaries or executables compiled with MS Xbox SDK (XDK)!
We do not allow linking to illegaly comiled XDK binaries in this forum!
...yes everything would be so simple if we did but it would be illegal
You've downloaded the source code. You cant do anything with it if you dont have the proper software to compile it into an xbox executable.
You obviously havent read or understood the faq's properly: http://www.xbmc.xbox-scene.com/wiki/index.php?title=Obtaining_XBMC
As you dont have the default.xbe, I assume you've downloaded the sourcecode. You need to find a pre-compiled version. Don't ask on here where to get it. Search instead
I don't get what to do, though.
