I had vbulletin installed and working very fine - with MySQL working and everything looked excellent.
But then after a server reset, I now get these error messages when I try to connect to my vbulletin board:
"Warning: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using NO) in /var/www/html/vbulletin/admin/db_mysql.php on line 29
There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience."
I'm sure MySQL is working, cause I have other applications running which uses MySQL too - without any problems at all..... joseleon has first right to accept:: After that, I will start working on your server. Regards. . no need to open a new one, but the problem would be to get the $50 tip after that, http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/263214.htmlHOME |
Greatful for any good tips :-)
what error code do you get if you right click and view the source code of the page with the error?
is it a Access denied message, if could mean your mysql server restarted or was shutdown by your web host?
I have this problem all the time.
MY web host goes down more than a ...uhh.. I guess I can't say that here.
I either use the repair function that comes with VB or use this script that someone uploaded to the forums (sorry i can't remember who)
Put this in the forums dir and run it..(rename to repair.php) and it should fix it.
Also if it doesn't work, use the repair function that comes with vb
Thanks
Sarge
Tnx for the file m8
Tried that, but didn't get any result at all with it - "nothing" happened....
I tried running the install.php program again, and it tells me that I haen't got PHP installed - and that's simply not right, cause I have other boards/software running PHP ......
