Question about my first tattoo......?

okay so basically im getting a single word on my inner left wrist (Starlight) and a tiny star at the foot of the T and i have a couple of questions...

1. My wirsts are very veiny and small so like do you bleed or anything and is it safe to do so??(i mean i know obviously its ok to get tattoos there or they wouldnt do it but like whats it like to get one there basically??)

2. Erm yeah basically the pain factor - how much would you say a wrist tattoo hurts on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being no pain and 10 being very painful)

imo no tattoo is "very painful" the worst I have felt is "uncomfortable".

I would be surprised if a tattoo shop would give a first tattoo in such a visible spot.

i have stars and words all the way around my wrists... the inner part really doesn't hurt a lot, i promise.
i didn't bleed much at all. basically, it's going to feel like someone is writing in your arm with a safety pin.
plus, since you are just getting lettering, it will be a relatively quick process.

ps- don't drink alcohol or take any anti-inflammatory medication (advil, etc) before you go and get work done... these both will thin your blood and cause you to bleed more.

as long as you are 18, and your artist is okay with the tattoo on that wrist, it's fine. make sure you realize that the wrist is a difficult area to cover up for work, and the skin there is VERY thin.

the pain factor? high.

1. My wrists are very veiny as well. It's not a problem. The needles used for the tattoo don't even come close to penetrating deep enough to pierce veins.

2. On a scale of one to ten, I'd give it a 7. Mine were pretty painful for me. They hurt the worst the closer you get to where your wrist and hand meet.

i have a tattoo on the inside of my right wrist and you do not bleed. and it hurt to a point, but mine didn't take very long, so it was over quickly.

for your first tattoo i would not get it on the wrist... remember it will ALWAYS be there so if you are going to get it their just make sure it means something to you and not just something cute you like pain wise the wrist is going to hurt, but i do not think tattoos hurt that bad .. the reasons why i get all my tattoos are for sentimental reasons for me so when i get them i think about why i am getting them and i kind of space out and day dream so it doesnt really hurt
