I really appreciate you doing it and I'm curious to know where I stand now.
When is this going to be updated?
Shhhhhhhh don't rush the master.
=)
Hey, craig, would it make it easier on you if we had a thread where we posted our own hatstats ratings for you so you don't have to figure them out? Do you figure out each teams ratings manually or do you have some method that makes it quicker? Mark Craig: NFL poised for a double helping of history:: 5:30 p.m. • Ch. 4. More from Mark Craig. I do not take the result into account, only the zonal ratings. The basic idea is that those ratings tell the real story about your team's quality in the match, while score/result will fluctuate depending on the strength of your opponent.

Is there somewhere that explains the ratings?

More Cowbell!
and more rankings too, please.
Sorry about getting a little behind on this. I got caught up in moving (from Houston to the South Bend, IN area) and starting grad school at Notre Dame. On top of that, as the days away from BigSoccer started piling up, I started putting off finally going back because of all the catching up I would have to do. I'm hoping I can get back to doing it regularly now that I'm more or less settled in and starting to get into the swing of things with classes and my TA assignment. Also, although I never posted about it, somewhere in there I snuck in an update through 23.06 (posted on August 6).
23.06 (current) (http://www.hal-pc.org/~enigma/hattrick/bigsoccer/bigsoccer_hattrick_current.html)
23.05 (http://www.hal-pc.org/~enigma/hattrick/bigsoccer/bigsoccer_hattrick_23.05.html)
23.04 (http://www.hal-pc.org/~enigma/hattrick/bigsoccer/bigsoccer_hattrick_23.04.html)
I've calculated through last week, but I haven't cleaned them up for posting yet.
More ratings!

23.08 (http://www.hal-pc.org/~enigma/hattrick/bigsoccer/bigsoccer_hattrick_23.08.html)
23.07 (http://www.hal-pc.org/~enigma/hattrick/bigsoccer/bigsoccer_hattrick_23.07.html)
wonderful.
Craig, make sure to look out for Villanova FC, we may be 1-9, but it's a proud 1-9.
Last night, when I came in here I added in all the new teams from the sign-up thread. If you're missing the next time around, PM me.
How the rankings work:
First of all, the "base" rating is something I call CSI (for manager cybresabre, and a nice analog to NSI), and it's the same as the Hatstats (http://usa.hatstats.info) rating. But I don't stop there.
I take your ratings from the past three weeks and do a weighted average:
(3*this week + 2*last week + 1*week before) / 6
If there's a walkover (or you haven't played enough games yet), I drop that match and adjust the denominator accordingly.
wow 63 teams...used to just be like 5 or 6 ppl in that one thread before we got our own forum
Hey Craig in your ratings, what is rated more heavily? Is it the actualy result or is it the hatstats score? Because I roundly destroyed my opponent, but I had my best striker sent off early. This resulted in about a two (whole) level drop in my center attack ratings.
Just curious, thanks.
