I have a USB-UIRT device and a remote with the XBOX IR command set (work perfectly on my original XBOX)

I have followed instructions from ezhtpc blog (http://ezhtpc.blogspot.com/) to install LIRC. But XBMC does not respond... the USB-UIRT receive light blinks so I know it is getting commands.

Did you get this working? If not, let me know and might be able to lend assistance. then comp would need a feedback mechanism to know if it was on or off.
