Removing a tattoo a few months or one year after getting it put on?

I have got a red and black tattoo that is a foot long, covers my whole upper arm/outside bicep. I went in to a tattoo removal studio and they said that I am lucky because my colors are the easiest to remove. Also, I only had it done once, never re-done. So it is done as lightly as possible. She did say that newer ones are harder to remove because the ink has "not settled in yet" and I should wait a little longer. I read quite a few places that newer ones are easier. Has anyone got a tattoo removed within a year of getting it? Any information on when the earliest possible time I can my tattoo removed would be appreciated. I got it in September of 2007. Thanks!

Please no......you should have thought about it before, laser is expensive and hurts, answers.

here is a web page about a product that is suppose to help fade and remove tattoos with out laser. on this web link it gives you information on the product and how much it cost.Sorry but i can not find any information on the waiting period. hope this helps out some.

all of the methods are expensive and painful especially for the size of the tattoo. An alternative to laser would be a product/method called Rejuvi or Tattoo Cease. Its a tattoo over method and is cheaper than laser. It is effective on a tattoo 6 months or newer or 3 years and older. Look into it on the internet and compare to other methods to see if its right for you

I dont really know alot on the subject, but am really interested to know why you want to remove it when you have only had it for such a small amount of time :S...
