People are known by the company they keep. This is especially true for politicians. We can only judge by the company he keeps.

Obama: Ayers, ACORN, Wright, Rezko. Was your mom right when she said "you're known by the company you keep" and "birds of a feather, flock together". Of is this just a fallacy and has no reflection on a person's character?

  • McCain's friends are far worse than Obama's: McCain has legitimate ties to terrorist orgs. He has given money to the Contras, he has given money to the Kosovo Liberation Army and legitimized them in the region. KLA has backed McCain for President in 2000 and 2008. They also funnel money and drugs to Al Quaeda. He also has racist ties: McCain pays $20,000 a month to Richard Quinn, a political consultant, a neo-Confederate, who was one of the leaders of the pro-Confederate flag faction. Editor in chief of Southern Partisan, a magazine that published apologias for slavery and sold paraphernalia celebrating the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. The Southern Partisan's merchandising operation, the "Southern Partisan General Store" includes a T-shirt bearing Lincoln's likeness and the legend "Sic Semper Tyrannis," the phrase shouted by John Wilkes Booth after he shot Lincoln. McCain describes Quinn as "a man of integrity" who wasn't responsible for what appeared in his own magazine.

  • Yes, and by the decisions they make also.
McCain is more stupid than George W. Bush. I'd rather have Georgie 4 more years than those 2 dumb @sses McCain and Palin.

  • Do you mean McCain and Keating.

    Or McCain and the mafia.

Or Bush and the Bin Ladens

  • the birds of a feather statement is not a fallacy. it's not only a matter of like attracts like, or the right place at the right time due to common interest, people INFLUENCE other people. i know we'd all like to think that we're all strong minded enough to not pick up on opinions, traits or habits from the people around us, but fact is, we do. so, the statement, "you are the company you keep" is pretty relevant.

  • George Bush andt he Bin Laden's were friends before 9-11

  • Yup. Birds of a feather... Turkeys and eagles don't hang around together.

  • Why would you hang out with people you disagree with?

  • NO.

If we did that, no one would be fit to run for the highest office in the land.

You do know that Bush was friends with the Bin Ladens before 9/11 happened, don'tcha?

Even McCain said that Bin Laden wasn't all that bad 3 years before 9/11.

  • if you hang aroung people that hold certain values for long enough you are going to start seeing it their way. besides, you don't usually don't start hanging out with a group of people unless you find you have things in common.
