I've noticed some weirdness when I shutdown/exit outpost (V2) and then restart it. [CentOS] ACPI reboot-issue (CentOS 4) - Grokbase:: -f: force halt/reboot, don't call shutdown. > -h: put harddisks in standby mode. > -i: shut down all network interfaces. > > -- Simen Thoresen - Dolphin ICS http://grokbase.com/topic/2008/02/29/centos-acpi-reboot-issue-centos-4/dZoMtupdVk5_QCTguODcY8O0uw4HOME |
The PC's that use ICS to access the internet are now blocked. The logs report the following: Error 1068, TCP/IP BIOS - CNET Networking & wireless Forums:: 4 posts - Last post: Oct 24, 2004Set the Startup type to Automatic. 7. Press Apply and OK. 8. Shutdown and restart your computer. 9. After the restart, rerun the ICS Wizard. http://forums.cnet.com/5208-4_102-0.html?threadID=42298HOME |
16:54:57 SYSTEM TCP www.outpostfirewall.com HTTP 2374 Block Transit Packets
The only way I can get this to work again is to go into the ALG rules, don't change anything and close the window. After clicking on the Apply button and everything works. The connection now reports:
17:01:33 SYSTEM TCP www.outpostfirewall.com HTTP Allow NAT Packets 00:00:01 48 bytes/s
It would appear, perhaps, that there is a rules conflict and the 'Apply' action fixes it. I'm not sure where the rule "Block Transit Packets" is defined. Anyone else noticed this?
