i have xbmc running with the project mayhem iii and i have downloaded some skins from www.xbox-skins.net for xbmc, but everytime i install one and try to run it i get an error saying that i need a skin for version 1.3 or higher. i am a little confused as xbmc comes in version 1.0 and 1.1.0.
can anyone enlighten me please.

i think alot of the skins have compatibility issues.
i'm sticking with pmiii, at least until blackbolt is released
kelter, you dont have a 1.0 or 1.1 version. you use one from cvs. xbmc will release version 2.0 very soon. i know that because pm3 is not a compatible skin for 1.0 or 1.1.
the version you downloaded has a 1.3 skin engine integrated.
i use a xbmc build from 24-04. my version has a 2.0 skin engine.
i advice you to download a newer version, with a 2.0 skin-engine.
and use these skins 2.0 skins (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=2;t=19767;hl=2.0+compatible+ skin)
