Hi All,
Here is my quandry. Our firewall is catching the virus and sending notifications. Some of our folks are getting flooded. I am trying to create a rule that will send all messages with "Hi" in the subject to the delete bin. However my rule keeps finding everything with H and I and sorting it. Any ideas? Yes, I am using quotations.
Thanks in advance,
Ed
WHAT?????
You say that the firewall is stopping the virus, and then forwarding the message to the users, can you be a bit more specific? Are you sure the firewall is intercepting the message and not an e-mail anti virus program? firewalls allow/deny network traffic based on access lists. Are you using exchange server? If so, have you got an exchange antivirus running, that is scanning messages? If so, there is normally a way to delete/quarantine/repair the infected attachment without notifying the end user. We use NAV for exchange, and have set it up to delete any infected msg without notifying the end user. Firewalls Benchmarking Research:: e-mail notifications when attacks are logged.
