does anyone know when sourceforge is going to be able to update the xbmc changelog?
nothing has shown up since 3/30?
i know there was an issue earlier this month...but, it heading towards may?
thanks!

fyi( 2006-05-05 07:55:54 - project cvs service ) as of 2006-05-05 we are still waiting on all the hardware for the replacement cvs infrastructure. a few of the machines we received from our vendor had disk issues shortly after configuration, so we are vetting all the systems for issues, and reloading a few of them. the service deployment itself is running smoothly and we don't anticipate any problems other than the existing hardware issues that we are working through with the vendor. we are currently estimating a deployment for the end of next week (may 12th).
when will anonymous cvs work again?? it is almost 3-4 weeks since the last sync .. sourceforge said it will be available in some days .. but that was 3 weeks ago! :veryangry:
mean while back at sf (http://sourceforge.net/docs/a04/):
( 2006-05-10 04:43:14 - project cvs service ) as of 2006-05-09 the developer cvs server had a disk-failure. as the new cvs infrastructure is in its final phases of rollout, we'll be deploying it, in place of the current infrastructure, by end of week. we'll be sending out an email to project administrators with further details later in the day, regarding how to access the new cvs servers and the changes that occurred with the new infrastructure.
heres a link (http://www.b4tm4n.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/images/changelog.txt).
i`ll leave it up for a shortwhile, i might even update it if i remember.
i haven`t been able to connect allday.
try again tomorrow me thinks.
i can't connect too. :(
yeah .. it is really annoying that anonymous cvs is not yet synchronized! it is now 3-4 weeks since the anonymous cvs has been updated. can somebody contact sourceforge regarding this issue? :veryangry:
are we the only project with this problem on sourceforge?
thanks again, b4tm4n!
it's nice to see the bugs...falling one by one...looks like 2.0 is gonna' be a very stable, consistently presented gui...with more setting change capabilities! that's just an alternative address to checkout/update, not an address to an "alternate changelog".

thanks, b4tm4n!
:) :)
i still think sourceforge is still challenged. could you update your link?
yea, i just looked so the ftp i had in mind is also hosting a 5-5 tech build.
the tech builds are all over, also if you look around there is a location (i shant mention) where you are supposed to get recent cvs updated builds.
2401 is the standard port.
i meant what is the alternate port and server if this one goes down or you have isp or firewall issues. ABC [Yet Another Bittorrent Client]:: To change your torrent download destination. your not using the same setting as me check the cvsroot entry and you`ll see the port 443 is missing for a start.
change the setting and do a fresh checkout and see if that works. cheers b4tm4n.
i'm moments away from crying here.. i have tried several alternate servers and cannot for the life of me get them to work so i can checkout.. i still have march's files and i would love to get back on board here.
can someone help me out? i refuse to use builds, especially t3ch (sorry, but i just rather build my own). so any help regarding a successful recent checkout and not a flame on how "good" t3ch is and how i ought to use them would be appreciated.
cheers!
make sure your starting in an empty folder. i've had problems switching servers if i didn't start from an empty folder.
having said this, i'm unable to connect right now, may be an internet issue though.
keep an eye on sf status page (http://sourceforge.net/docs/a04/).
fyi, from the status page: "( 2006-04-14 11:18:04 - project cvs service ) * as of 2006-04-14 we have an estimate on when the replacement cvs hardware for the new infrastructure will arrive. as soon as we get in into our hands, we'll actively work on it, with a goal of having it online by the end of the month of april. this is a best guess, and may not get hit due to the aggressive timeline we have placed on this project. however, be assured that recovery of this service in full is our highest priority. the sync process between developer and anonymous cvs (viewcvs, etc.) is disabled now until the new infrastructure is in place, to ensure we have maximum coverage for the small number of data corruption issues that have been detected. we understand this is sub-optimal, but strongly believe that the protection of the data is paramount. "
cvs had problems yesterday.

ok, now i'm using the same as you :) i get nowhere still and am unsure exactly how to do a fresh/clean checkout with tortoise :( any suggestions?
thanks for the help!

no change to pm me the location?
the most recent tech build is from the 5/5/06.
is there a current and working changelog somewhere for public viewing?
confirmed, still has issues... but maybe it'll be 2.0.0 when we do ;)
i haven`t been able to connect allday.

i didn't see this posted here anywhere, but sourceforge has changed the server names. you now include the project name in the server name.
:pserver:anonymous@xbmc.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xbmc
i didn't find anything on the alternate server and port at sourceforge, though i may have missed it.
cvs is fixed....
