I have checked on Sheilds UP about 5 times, proxy on, proxy off, used their IP address because I'm on a NAT. The old version was always stealthed when I checked. Version 2.0 does not give me full stealth on all ports. Some are closed, but not stealthed. Port 143 IMAP...closed

What do I need to do to be invisible on the net.
I have installed and uninstalled this program about 10 times at least. Been working on it since 7:30 am this morning and am still having problems. Any help ? I'm using Windows XP and use a satellite internet connection with a proxy (which I have disabled while working on this program). Pentium 4 1.3 ghz, 512 mgs ram, 60 gig hard drive so I don't think hardware should be a problem.

I'm probably the guy that can help as I also am using Satellite to connect to the Internet and I can get 100% Stealth on all security tests.
The first thing you want to do is before running any of these tests is to have Outpost in "Block Most" mode, NOT "Rules Wizard" mode. You should NOT have anything in the "Trusted Zone" in the "Options/Applications" section.
Let's get this resolved for you.... get back and we'll have a go at it. :D

Well, I think it's fixed finally!! I had to do a system restore again.
Checked use the "block most" and used the Gibson's UPnP utility. Now i'm finally in full stealth mode. Un checked my proxy too. Looks like Pilgrims suggestion worked...THANKS PILGRIM!!!!
I sure wish that things were not so difficult somtimes. Before I got Version 1.0 I had purchased Norton Personal Firewall and it was a virtual nightmare. Wouldn't work with Norton's own virus program. Everything went haywire. Got my money back on that one. So many smart and helpful people in these forums. I don't even use Tech support anymore...just find the right forum and go there post haste!!
U Can also create 3 simple rules that block inbound connections and protocols(TCP/UDP) and ports from 0-65535, and block ICMP like this u are in stealth mode...

Virus protection should not make any difference when downloading Outpost but may need to be disabled when installing it (to date, only eTrust is known to cause problems with the Outpost installation though).
This is off-topic for this thread though, so please consider opening a new one if you wish to post further.

Since your thread has been resuscitated :) I would point out that there is a new FAQ on port scans (1) which may be of some help if you have not checked it already.
I'm new to Outpost firewall and have yet to learn all the code words so don't mind me if I sound simplistic. I find that if when downloading from Agnitum, I disable my Antivirus program and then reactivate it after the down load is properly installed, I avoid some problems that may occur.

Well, I'm baacccckkk,
I did another Sheilds Up Test.
Leak test failed, some ports became closed instead of in stealth.
Removed all traces of Version 2.0 and did a system restore (XP). Apparently I cleaned the registry up too good because something was missing that Version 1 needed. Did an uninstall of version 1 and rebooted. Reinstalled version 1 and right now that's what I'm using. It passed all the Sheilds UP tests with proxy on and proxy off. I'm going to wait for a fix. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
