Cafe Nine - Schedule of Live Music, New Haven, CT:: Trio • the rafters are still shaking from the guitar gods last stop here. For a printed version of the music calendar, simply print this page. http://www.cafenine.com/schedule.htmlHOME | Hello,
I have an issue with my clients outlook calendars. I setup conference room calendars for my clients so they can reserve time for meetings and invite people etc (Exchange 5.5). These room show up under public folders. Everything is working fine EXCEPT people can double book the calendars. e.g. 2 diff appts can be entered for the same time and date!
How can I stop double booking from happening? I would like the user to get an error saying that time is already being used, as most of them don't check the availability of the rooms before they book. 2004 California Open:: in the tournament, eager to compete in the first Tour stop of NATTs. fifth season. error in their booking calendar, and mistakenly double-booked a portion http://www.natabletennis.com/index2.php?option=com_content&do_pdf=1&id=28HOME | Appendix D Calendar Server Command-Line Utilities Reference:: Specifies whether double booking is allowed for a user calendar. I found information that is similar (MS). However, I am using Exchange 5.5, and the clients are Outlook 2003. They can automatically book the conference room 'public folders' as a resource by selecting the resource button. But double books occur. I have permissions set so they can only delete/edit what they create, and cannot others. BUT double booking still exisits.
I guess I'm still confused as to what I am missing here. Perhaps I should create the Conference room resources as mailboxes?
Derek: I admit that Outlook is anything but my strong point (on Exchange, at least), but I'll try, okay?
>>>Start Outlook with a profile configured for the Resource account. On the Tools menu, click Options and then the Preferences tab, click Calendar Options. Click Resource Scheduling and then in Processing Meeting Requests, click to select "Automatically Decline Conflicting Meeting Requests"
>>>Look at this site for a script like the other one had, but may work better?: http://exchangecode.com/
>>>And then someone creates them with mailboxes: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Applications/MS_Office/Outlook/Q_20769174.html
See if any of this helps, Derek:
