This is a very informative web site and enjoyable one as well.
One topic that I would really love to see more of would be electricity. From proper sizing to amp draw and simple trouble shooting it would be great if you could attract a few qualified electricians to occasionaly visit here and answer questions..

With all due respect, electricians use drills, saws, vices, dies, snips and a variety of tools that Ridgid puts their name on and some that they make.
It seemed that getting all the mechanicals on board was a logical extension of what already exists. MHO
I did not say electricians do not use Ridgid tools. I said Ridgid does not make electricians tools. By that I mean, they do not have a line of tools directed towards electricians. They are the best on earth at plumbing tools, we all know that. Just in the last couple years have they came out with portable hand held tools like drills and saws. They still do not offer hole saws, fish tapes, meters, or other electrical specific tools. I would not mind at all if they would add an electrical forum to this site, just don't think they will.

you dont need a 18volt impact to drive lag bolts. all you need is a 12v or a 14. I have a makita 6980FDWDE (12v impact) and i drive lags all day with that. That has 1,110 inch lbs. If for some reason you need a 14v. The makita 6935FDWDE has 1,210 inch lbs. Take a look at them. You can get both at the Home Depot

What do you mean buy ELECTRITIONS DON'T USE RIDGID TOOLS??? Very few residential electricains use ridgid tools. Most are conviced the DeWalt is better, but i think otherwise since my former boss droped a dewalt battery through a sink working on a vanity light. As for Commercial and industrial Electricans use Ridgid all the time our chainwrench is Ridgid, pipetreader is ridgid, Cordless tools (at least mine and some co-workers) are ridgid. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on the 18v Impact Driver. The only good ways to attach a panel to a wood wall is with Lag bolts or grapers.
As for finding out about amps for the circits in you house that's easy just ask me some specifics and, I'll tell you what I know, and what the new code has on it.
I love my job and if i have a day off i usually go to my parents house to help my dad remodel.
