Hello,
I have a cross browser problem with my table coding. This problem only occurs in Internet Explorer, to my knowledge, and works perfectly fine in Mozilla Firefox. When I view my site in Internet Explorer, a three pixel high white gap appears. I'm not sure why, but it just does. If I had to take a guess why it's happening, is because I am using an image map in the table, and the gap only appears below that portion. I'll provide a link and some screenshots displaying my problem. And help on the matter is greatly appreciated. Nevermind, Mr. Stils, you were, indeed, correct. I had to move a and a | to make them side by side. Thanks for the helps guys.
Alot of times it could be something as simple as the way you layout your source code. I noticed alot of excessive line breaks between most of your lines of code and this will sometimes cause spacing issues in IE Windows 98 SE Windows Explorer Problems:: Thanks to feilong-ga This stop-gap (The DOS thing) will do for now. . Are you using xhtml or html 4.0? My guess is that IE is not interpreting the code and you might look at something like the box method or similar....when I get more time will try and look at it more...sorry just barely have time to tonight..
I'm guessing html 4.0.

What do you mean by line breaks. Do you mean I should layout my code by having line on top of line, rather than space between lines?
Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately that wasn't the solution. The strict doctype messed up the layout more, and the loose doctype kept everything the same.
give it a shot, sometimes IE will register the carrriage returns within the source code...
I used to have alot of issues with 1 or 2 pixels of space in areas and after deleting all the white space it got rid of all the unwanted spaces

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it, but unfortunately it didn't work either. Your effort is greatly appreciated, though.
Just a thought, perhaps IE is in quirks mode and thus if you specify doctype that may help...i will have to look at code a bit later..
