I'm looking at this for my Canon. For starters I have the 300d. The lenses I have are a 35-80mm kit lens for the rebel xs, a 50mm 1.8, and a 100-300 US. I'm looking for something a little more everday and somethign that can get a little bit of a wide angle for some shots. Indoors I would use the 50mm with the 1.8, but I'm looking for something that can be a day to day lens. I'm just a beginner and can't warrant buying L glass just yet. Any opinions on this lens? Maybe a suggested supplement if this one is no good? I hear the 200 end is soft on sharpness, but but I wouldn't use that often, and that there is some distortion on the low end.
