Why doesn't http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com/TDX-BSE/Island%20Dealt%20Economic%20Blow_01.htm come up when I search for tanadgusix ex-competent litigation?

  • Greetings, tschloss! From what I can determine, http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com/TDX-BSE/Island%20Dealt%20Economic%20Blow_01.htm is not linked to by any other websites on the Internet. The Googlebot finds web pages in a couple of different ways: 1) through links from other websites 2) through a link from that page's website if Google has indexed it 3) through submission of a url at ://www.google.com.au/addurl.html Not only do I not find a link to this document anywhere else on the web, I can't find a link to it on http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com That doesn't necessarily mean that such a link does not exist. But Google *has* indexed http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com and didn't find it. Popular opinion by webmasters is that the Googlebot will not index a site more than 3 levels deep. So if you have to click numerous times to get from the site's home page to the page in question, the Googlebot may very well not find it. *However* Before you rush to submit this document's URL to Google at the link I posted above, consider the following: 1) Using spaces in an html document name may make it more difficult for the Googlebot and human beings to find. When naming pages, use dashes or run all of the words together: Island-Dealt-Economic-Blow-01.htm IslandDealtEconomicBlow01.htm 2) The Googlebot may consider duplicate content across numerous sites to be spamming. If it finds the same page in more than one place, it may allocate importance only to the one it decides is the primary source. From the Google Information for Webmasters - Webmaster Guidelines: "... Don't create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content..." ://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html Consider: http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com http://www.hoopa-nsn.gov/documents/SchlosserLawFiles1.htm If the Googlebot decides that these are duplicate sites, it is almost certain that it would assign a higher importance to a website with a ".gov" domain over a ".com" domain. Consider also: http://www.schlosserlawfiles.com http://www.msaj.com Is there any reason why your firm has spread its website across at least 2 websites, msaj.com and schlosserlawfiles.com? Not only does this dilute (lessen) any Page Rank either site might acquire, it may also cause the Googlebot to consider these sites duplicates and penalize one or both of them. I encourage you to: 1) rename the document in Question 2) consolidate information on your multiple websites under one domain 3) make sure that that primary domain's home page links to the document , or that a page linked to by the home page links to the document 4) resubmit that primary domain to be re-crawled by the Googlebot Before Rating my Answer, if you have any Questions about the above information, please post a Request for Clarification, and I see what I can do for you. Regards, aceresearcher
