i want a dragon goin from mi thigh goin up2 my hip . say about 25cm long ...is this to big for my 1st tattoo? have u had 1? and out of 100 how much does it hurt?

no, i say if you're gonna get one , then go big, that way you'll get it out of your system. its better to have one GREAT big one than alot of small ok ones. from one to a 100, i would say its like a 25, it doesnt really hurt, its more of an uncomfortable feeling, give the top side of your hand alot of little pinches, that kinda how it feels. thats the closest i can show you. and dragons look awesome, so good luck! Hi Love baby, I have 6 tattoos and I Love all of them. If that's what you want for a tattoo go for it. Make sure you have a color tattoo because they look so much better and the tattoo will stand out a lot better. People are different when it comes to pain. I think the one tattoo that hurt more than the other 5 was Irish Fairy on my left side behind my shoulder. It really depends on where you put your tattoo and if you have a lot of fat or 2 skinny. A 25 cm tattoo is kinda big for a first timer. The first and only tattoo I got hurt on a scale of 1-100 (100 being child birth) about 65-70 and the tattoo was about the size of a silver dollar on my thigh. I would suggest once you get to the tattoo artist ask him/her to do a test spot on you without the ink. They did this to me. For a tattoo this size you may consider doing it in a couple of visits if the pain is too much. The outline hurts the most out of all of the tattoo process. The shading (by the time they get to that you should be numb from all the other pain) will feel like someone is scratching a sunburned spot on you.

Eat before you go. Don't drink before you go. Take a pain killer (Tylenol or something similar). Bring you something to drink. Wear loose clothes when you get the tattoo. Keep it clean afterwards, and put the triple antibiotic salve on it 2 or 3 times a day. They usually take 2 weeks to scab and heal completely.
By the way the design sounds neat. I have a Scorpion inside a Yin Yang symbol.

If that's what you really want, go for it. Everyone has different pain tolerances. Me, I have a few tattoo's and the pain didn't bother me at all. That area of your body isn't too bad, the hip will hurt a little more than the thigh area. The best advice I can give you is find a really good artist, research the shop and the artist, look at their work/portfolio. As for color or black and grey, it all comes down to what you like, as both can look amazing. Go for it.
