hi, i'm planning on getting a tattoo and my parents know about this, they even plan on coming with me. Anyway my mom heard that a wrist tattoo is dangerous because a lot of veins that go to your heart and nerves go through your wrist, and now i don't know if i'm going to get it done at all. Is it really dangerous?? and does it hurt getting a tatto?? what does it feel like??
I'm going to get a tattoo on my inner wrist tomorrow. I'll have to let you know how that feels. I have 2 other tattoos and they've both been different as far as levels of pain. Lower back hurt A LOT, shoulder tattoo was just uncomfortable.. not bad - and I have a very LOW tolerance for pain. These people who say its going to be UNBEARABLE drive me crazy. And that it hurts for WEEKS afterward? Please. The pain is pretty much over once the needle stops. It will be mildly tender for a day or 2, but then it's fine!! The worst part is the itching!! I agree with the comparison to sunburn being scratched. Don't be afraid - I am a total coward and I am going on tattoo #3. Hope this helped :)

I got my inner wrist tattoo yesterday - promised I'd let you know how it felt. It was NOT bad at all. In fact, it was the least painful of all 3. Honestly, it barely hurt at all. No bleeding either. I'd do it again in a second. I say go for it!
they dont go that deep! everyone thinks that they're dangerous, the most dangerous part is getting an infection. and it will obviously hurt, its a tattoo, they do it with needles. honestly, the pain wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, like a sunburn being rubed with a vibrating pen. not bad actually.
Inner wrist really doesn't hurt much. I recently got a tattoo on my lower back and that hurt way more!
It's not dangerous either - it doesn't go low enough to damage veins.
Hello, some people DO get ink poisoning or septic but if you go to a decent tattoo parlour you will be fine, there is no way it will 'go through your wrist' it only goes into the skin not your veins haha. And yes tattoo's do hurt ALOT and it is very uncomftorable after for a few weeks, however if you are so keen that hsouldn't matter as the pain is nothing compared to what your getting out of it. The pain is different some people feel a burning sensation or scratching or vibrating, it hurts more once it goes over the veins though forsure... don't worry though you will be fine brave it and itll be worth it
The inside of the wrist would very sencitive to me... It feels like scratching a sunburn, thats the best I can describe of getting a tattoo.
as long as you pick a good tattoo artist the wrist is just as safe as any other body part.the ink only goes in the first few layers of skin so it won't damage your veins at all.it might swell more because the tissue is so sensitive,but that is about all.
