Forgive me if someone has posted this. Couldn't find it anywhere here, and it is quite amazing for someone who has never experienced a 'cane.

Here is a link to my teaser trailer for our 2008 DVD on the hurricane season. I too was on the 11th floor of the San Luis but the noise was far louder than TWC video portrays for some reason. That eerie chorus of "voices" is certainly in both my video and TWC's but I think theirs was during the eye wall and mine was on the back side when the winds were stronger. Thus, you can hear all sorts of stuff getting knocked around, slammed and such in addition to the haunting sound of the wind screaming through the window seams. I cut the video to make it seem more like a scary movie and took out a good deal of the video- only allowing you to hear what is going on with mere glimpses of that hallway. Anyhow, here is my version of that same hallway...

Wow... It would scare the wits out of me if I had to ever hear sounds like this, I guess. As I live at midlatitudes far inland... 40-45 mph is enough to make me feel a bit scared at night when I am outside... Tested that out with 2006 late October storm...
Works fine for me ... just have to take the extra (http:) out.

Dan is right - he identified the problem AND the fix...
After viewing the video, I thought that sequence would be perfect for a science-fiction or horror film.
Be sure to have the volume up enough to enjoy it.
Quite revealing for someone that hasn't experienced a hurricane - like myself for example...

Thanks Rob.
I know my lack of simple computer skills is pathetic:rolleyes:
I couldn't get it to work either.
I recorded similar audio (although not as good) at a hotel during Hurricane Ivan in Mobile (the better parts are toward the end): New Garmin Nuvi owner (250W) | POI Factory:: Maybe pokers not your game Ike, I know, Let have a spelling contest! of the voices dont always show depending upon the voice/text settings that were http://www.poi-factory.com/node/6558HOME | Machinima.com :: View topic - Voice Actors Needed for Brawl Machinima!!!:: The positions of Ike and Falco are still open though, Im letting go of the Ike actor. The link doesn't work.
I had the same experience inside the eyewall of Ike down by Hitchcock, TX when it came on shore. My sounds were similar but sounded more like a tuba and trumpet. It was actually eerie being by myself, that's all I'll say.
Check out the last few minutes of the video, too bad I ran out of tape.
