Hi, I'm using the XBMC-SVN_2007-08-05_rev9834-T3CH.rar but I have noticed this issue at least a month ago.
I have my folder of TV Shows with the following structure:
TV Show 1
-> Season_01
--> Episode 1
--> Episode 2
--> .....
TV Show 2
-> Season_01
--> Episode 1
--> Episode 2
--> .....
I scan the entire folder with the TVDB.com scrapper, everything is found and added to the library.
When I go into the library in my TV shows, I see them all but the banners aren't showing, if I go to TV Show Information I can see the banner alright and when i come back I can see that TV Show's banner in the list.
I have to open the TV Show Information on each TV Show to have the banners displayed. Automatic Multiple Image Resize / Web Gallery [Archive] - Planet :: c) On the Options dropdown should be showing BANNER. for Site name just give it a title Next click on the options drop down menu and select "THUMBNAILS. http://www.planetphotoshop.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-328.htmlHOME |
This goes also for episodes thumbs.
I don't mind doing it for the ~20 TV Shows I have, but having to open the Episode Information on each and every episode is long and painfull.
When I upgrade to the latest SVN build the only way not to loose the thumbs is to keep my thumbnails folder on upgrade, otherwise I have to do it all over again.
I'm wondering if I'm the only one having this problem, and if it can be fixed.
I hope that is enough info for someone to help me out.
thanks, and keep up the amazing work, XBMC is the best!

well DOH. if you delete the thumbnails, what do you expect to happen?
ok, this was getting of topic......
anyway I found that when you keep your DB after an upgrade and you delete the thumbnails folder you have to reload all your tv eps for the banners to show.
I deleted my db and scan all my content and all my banners/thumbs showed up automatically.
Couldn't see anything? ??? A near-on impossible task I would imagine.
This may be the result of a change (indicated in the changelog for 9834) for the workaround 4096 files limit problem.
It requires you to manually move your thumbnails into their associated directories. See this thread http://xbmc.org/forum/showthread.php?t=27788
Hmmm yeah I lost all my thumbs to :( Kidkiwi.... so the xbox isnt limited to 4096 files anymore? so if I copied a DVD rip of 6gig or so to it it will play it? ??? all?
Appologize... I come from a networking background and was getting confused...
WTF?
is there anything about file size in there????

you make absolutely no sense to me mate.
this was to workaround the limit of 4096 FILES sitting in a directory. so we spread the thumbs over several directories so we can have more of them.
it has absolutely nothing to do with file size and absolutely nothing to do with playback of dvd images.
