Please do not provide a machine translation from the web. None I have
tried online can handle the last part of the sentence anywhere close
to decent English. Thanks.
Tell me what it is, who it is
What makes me live this life so full of problems
And what gives me courage if you don't love me.
Your difficulty with the last part may be the "voi", which we are
taught to spell "vuoi". As you probably know, this is part of the verb
"volere (want)"
"Volere bene" is a phrase meaning "to love".
So while "vuoi" means "you want", "vuoi bene" means "you love". (singular you)
("Voi" usually means "you" (plural you), so this is all very
confusing, especially to machine translators!)
You can check this out at WordReference.com where it says:
"voler bene a qn, to love sb;
[...]to be fond of sb, like sb very much;
[...]
volersi bene, to love each other"
http://wordreference.com/it/en/translation.asp?iten=volere+bene
Quite a few newsgroup messages use the spelling "me voi bene", and
google says 'Did you mean: "me vuoi bene"? '!
http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=%22+me+voi+bene%22&btnG=Google+Search
Other words not in "textbook" form:
camp = campare = live
sta = questa = this
If you still have any queries about this sentence, please let me know,
and I'll do my best to help.
Best wishes - Leli
