like a car dealership i got to write 4 things that microsoft office 2007 is good for?
1) Good for making visual presentation (using Microsoft PowerPoint)
2) Good for Managing, tables of data such as inventory listing. (using Microsoft Excel)
3) Good for writing text with an assortment of text formatting tools. (Microsoft Word)
4) Good for lagging.
5) Good for crashing.
With all of the new ribbon menu's, it is very useful. The new visualizations and organization makes it an exceptional program for an office beginner, or an expert.
lol. Umm... word processing. Presentations. Spreadsheets (ie Bookkeeping). Making banners/cards/brochures/etc.
I guess it is good for that kind of thing, but it really depends on what you need too do, because there is likely way better stuff out there for certain things.... but Microsoft office will work fine for certain things...
If you are really looking into the microsoft office deal, try open office.. it is a free product comparable of microsoft office, and can do almost everything microsoft office can do.

they are some differences in the layout between microsoft office 2003 and 2007. It include the tap, where each of the menu are display.
in microsoft office 2007, you will be able to view the size of font, the colors, the layout, and etc without click on it. you just roll over your mouse, then it display the changes.

You can create flyers and news letters with publisher.
Word has a thesaurus and other features where you can find a word and replace all of that word with the word you've chosen.
Also, you can create schedules.
