We have had a job offer to go to Stuttgart, Germany (we are in Washington state). We currently make just over 72k in the U.S. We will live off base but get to utilize everything on base. Thanks!
it is a bit different, there is a lot of public transport in germany, clothing is more expensive, food is relatively the same price, not usre about housing. i lived there when i was way younger.
Depends on who you will be working for. I'm a contractor working on base and because of the technical aspect of my position, I'm tax-free for my entire pay check (I think $84k is the max).
I was offered X as a base pay with 43% G&S (similar to COLA for military) when I was hired last summer. WIth the Euro exchange rate, my company has increased it to 50%. i am not sure about the cost of living.. but i can tell you it is a beautiful place with great food.. this summer i went to switzerland, france, germany, belgium, netherlands, and england and germany was my favorite
