Since the Player forum has gotten a little boring, I thought I'd add a thread or two. Since there is already the which player do you play like, which player do you enjoy watching the most? For me, I might have to say Thierry Henry. He is so dynamic and extremely entertaining.
I'm quite the fan of Henry as well. I love how he glides with the ball down the pitch.
I'd have to say Pablo Aimar, Alessandro Del Piero and Roberto Baggio just coz of their close skills and quality passes, plus it gives me hope that even guys who aren't that tall or built can still be quality players in the modern football environment.
Twellman and Donovan

That Klinsmann goal against Russia in Euro 96 is my favorite one I've seen from him. It's unfortunate that I've just gotten into soccer around the time of World Cup 98 and essentially missed his entire career.
You did come in on the tail end of a great career if you can find a clip of the Korea volley i highly recomend it as a something great to watch and a example of how to be a creative and effective striker in open space.
He slipped behind his marker than lost track of him then popped back out in to spcae w/his back to the goal, while reciving the square pass he let it cross his body chipped it up with his right foot then spun and struck it one time out of the air while the ball was near his head with his left foot and put it in to the side netting.
It really was one of the most amazing peices of skill on so many levels that i have ever seen. Since you missed most of his career, i can tell you that while he picked up quite a few normal finishes, he scored goals like the volley and the Russia goal on a regular basis and he did it with both feet and his head he was truley one of a kind.
His first spell with Spurs produced some great goals and also brought his rep for diving into brighter lights( his one real flaw if you dont appreicate a bit of gamesmenship here and there).
Giggs... just brilliant footwork at top speed. Also miss watching Marc Overmars on a regular basis...

He had such textbook perfection when attacking the goal it amazed me watching him at his best.
His volley against Korea in 94 is one of the best goals i have ever witnessed as well as his first goal against Russia in Euro 96 with the outside of his right foot.
I forgot Van Basten as well he was top notch as well

Either Stevie G, Keano, or Shearer. All for different reasons. Stevie G because of his energy and power all over the pitch...that's how I like to think I play. Keano, for his tenacity(sp?) and simple, yet aggressive play. And Shearer for his old fashioned, work horse, give it all you've got, center forward play. I've seen his goals from World Cup 94 and 98 and Euro 96 and that's about it. I also never knew he was a diver. That was something I liked about him, a little bit more honest. Oh well, I still think he's great.

That's the first thing I notice with him when he has the ball. It looks as if he's not even running, just sort of flying down the field and I can't name a single defender that can stay with him on a run.
Liam Austin and Stuart Young of the Wollongong Wolves. Absolutely fantabulous.

Real Madrid fan? Nope, not really, I'm not a fan of any European team really. I'm more a fan of those players. Guess the Real bosses have my taste :). All my fandom goes to the Estonian national team and my local town's club. Anyway, I don't think I could be a fan of a team that I haven't seen with my own eyes.

Yep, some players are just unique - thay have something that noone else in the world has. That's what makes them so good to watch.
