[do you want an epideral, would you prefer the dr not do an episiotomy, etc.. talk to the dr about your concerns about labor and any worries you have]
If your doc did not give you an internal than probably the ob will. Usually by the 7th month you should have had an internal, heard the heartbeat, an ultrasound and blood tests. You will be tested for HIV, and I think a few other things. Don't panic it is standard and most of them are through blood or saliva. If you have not done any of these they will most likely try to get them all done quite quickly. Another thing is the glucose test, they do it around the 26-28 week it's really not too big of a deal they are just testing your blood sugar level. You go in and depending on the doc you might have to fast for 12 hrs. you might not. They give you this orange soda tasting drink(taste varies) then an hour later they pull blood. The ultrasound, again depending on the practice they might do it there or they will have to make an app. for it to be done. If you are a high risk pregnancy they might give you some other tests but I don't know so far all three of my have been normal so I don't know what they do extra on high risk pregnancies. I am assuming you are not high risk since this will be you first ob visit.
Another thing is they will ask a whole ton of questions you might want to show up about about 40 mins early to fill out the paper work. That is all I can think of right now hope this helps. Good luck and congrats!!!
