Instead of buying 2 cheap gits......get one nice gift instead. I know that I do not like cheap stuff and I don't give cheap stuff either. To me, you cannot really get a nice shirt that costs $25.
I think you should make him something...That would be more special to him than just going out and buying something.
Perhaps a CD? Record your own voice on the first track telling him how much you love him and whatever else you would like to add. Then put all of his favorite songs on the CD and some lo-vie do-vie ones too, lol. Then at the end of the CD, record yourself again and tell him you hoed he enjoyed his CD and your glad he's with you for Christmas, or whatever.
You can also make a very decorative CD case. Put a picture of the two of you on the front or something.
