right theres this girl i realy like and ive liked her for about 5 or 6 months maybe and i just told her recently that i liked her, ( by text i know its lame but its a long story, then i asked her " what wud u say if i were to ask you out? " and she replied saying " i wud say i duno " but ever since i said and told her that i liked her shes began to text me more but she goes out with this lad and when i asked her by text if she goes out with this lad. she replied saying i thought u new but i dont wanna, dont say owt hes realy annoyin " bnut she gives him hickeys and they are always holding hands and stuff.. but when im with them both shes like im not in the mood ( and she tried to get him off her ) shes moving soon in 4-6 weeks and shes moving quite far away.. i told her to her face that i like her and she just laughed and smiled and carried on as normal...

Having been young and gotten myself into situations I had wished I hadn't with boys, let me get this straight. She is seeing this guy, but says she doesn't want to? When they are both in your presence she is shaking him off (probably as politely as she can). I can't tell you if she likes you, but it does sound like she is waiting for her chance to get away from him. He may be overly jealous - and I know those kind of guys are sneaky about it especially when it borderlines on abusiveness. Whether she likes you or not, one possibility is that she doesn't want him to see you as competition and cause YOU any problems. I just remember getting myself into similar situations that's all. But I can't know what this girl is thinking or feeling.
You're both being tentative, your hinting, she's hinting back, someone just get on and actually ASK THE OTHER OUT!!!
She sounds like she's trying to keep both you and this other guy keen. Clearly she loves the attention she gets from you, she likes the fact that you fancy her, but she also likes the fact that this other guy is into her at the same time.

She's started to text you more to keep you in the picture. She dosen't want to say she likes you back (or dosen't like you) becuase she revels in this chase.
I'd stear clear of her (and shes moving too...so that's a problem.) Avoid texting her so much and move on, if she can't commit to this guy she probably won't commit to you.
