If an American citizen lives overseas, like I do, when are they allowed to or supposed to mail their ballot? I requested mine weeks ago but because it never came in I went ahead and filled out a Federal Write-In. Do I have to wait until November 3rd to mail it or is any day until that day a good time? You are waaay hosed. You might be too late. If you do not have your ballot by now they must be postmarked by a date certain. Check with the state again.
I would go to the local embassy and ask there if I was you, but you should be able to send in your absentee ballot anytime
Do they have you correct address and proof of residency? If not, you are toast. Get a family member or friend to find out whether it is mailed out as yet and when. Vote Today! If you are a registered Democrat, I suspect you are doubly screwed.
Once you receive your ballot, you may vote and mail it back in. It must be postmarked no later than November 4th to count at all.
Do not wait, mail it soon.
You were supposed to already mail it. Bring it to the post office.
